Job Summary:
Our innovative and growing Data/Communications Department is searching for a knowledgeable and experienced manager to join our team. The manager will be working on construction projects that involve network infrastructure, fiber optic, fire & security alarms, door access, security cameras, A&V equipment, solar, and some basic device setup and programming. The manager will be in charge of scheduling projects & employees, managing department assets & resources, managing & training employees, bidding on construction projects, and customer relations. The manager is also responsible for observing company policies and ensuring that work is performed to the highest quality, with all safety regulations observed.
Qualifications:
1. Low-voltage, communications, and network experience are preferred (on-the-job training available).
2. Management Experience is preferred but not required (on-the-job training available).
3. High School diploma or equivalent.
4. Must have a Valid California Driver’s License with reliable transportation to and from work.
5. Candidates must pass pre-employment background, drug, and work screens.
6. Must be available to work 8 to 12-hour days, occasional weekends, callouts, and overtime.
7. Must have basic hand & power tools related to the trade.
8. Candidate must have a strong work ethic and must be professional, punctual, and motivated to complete projects as efficiently as possible.
Essential Functions
1. Managing small project team to develop, execute and complete projects.
2. Organizing team roles and evaluating employee performance.
3. Organizing and delegating assignments to team members
4. Documenting operational tasks and reporting to upper-level management
5. Performing basic setups and programming of network devices.
6. Assist with new employee onboarding and training programs.
7. Customer relations & sales, and basic website management.
8. File for building permits and document reviews.
9. Resolving conflicts or complaints from customers and employees.
10. Analyzing information and processes and developing more effective or efficient processes and strategies.
11. Establishing and achieving business and profit objectives.
12. Other duties to ensure the overall health and success of the business.
13. Ensures a safe, secure, and legal work environment.
14. Development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention and development, and high performance.
15. Personal ongoing self-development and personal growth as an employee.
Compensation:
Pay and Subsequent raises are based on value demonstrated during the probationary period and value added to the company during the employment.
